Data Description:
The total of all interest-bearing balances due from depository institutions that are included in Schedule RC-A, item 0010.
For the FFIEC 034 report, includes all interest-bearing balances due from depository institutions whether in the form of savings or time balances, including certificates of deposit, but excluding certificates of deposit held in trading accounts. Includes balances due from commercial banks in the U.S., other depository institutions in the U.S., Federal Home Loan Banks, banks in foreign countries, and foreign central banks. All reciprocal balances (other than demand balances) between the reporting bank and other depository institutions are reported on a gross basis.
Excludes: (1) loans to depository institutions (reported in Schedule RC-C, item 1489); (2) all interest-bearing balances that the reporting bank's trust department maintains with other depository institutions; and (3) certificates of deposit held in trading accounts (reported in Schedule RC, item 2146).
