Includes bonds, notes, debentures and corporate stocks not specifically classifiable as U.S. Treasury securities, obligations of states and political subdivisions, or as participations in federal agency loan pools. Also includes bonds, notes and debentures of U.S. Government Corporations and Agencies other than participation certificates. This includes such obligations of Federal Housing Administration, Merchant Marine Bonds, D.C. Stadium Bonds, Federal Intermediate Credit Banks, Banks For Co-Ops, Federal National Mortgage Association, Government National Mortgage Association, Federal Land Banks, Federal Home Loan Banks, and Tennessee Valley Authority. Includes all such obligations sold under repurchase agreements and similar arrangements but does not include obligations purchased under resale agreements or similar arrangements. Includes stock of Federal Reserve Banks and stocks or other securities in all corporations except capital stock of bank premises subsidiaries or other majority-owned subsidiaries. Includes trading account securities. COMPARABILITY: Prior to 7/2/69: (1) Includes "Investments in Subsidiaries Not Consolidated (2130)"; (2) Excludes guaranteed obligations of U.S. Government which were reported in "U.S. Treasury Notes and Bonds (0280)". Prior to 12/31/71, includes minority interests that are defined as "associated companies". These have been transferred to "Investments in Unconsolidated Subsidiaries and Associated Companies (2130)."
