Includes the book value of all other U.S. Government securities not held in trading accounts, all U.S. Treasury bills, certificates of indebtedness, notes, and bonds, including those issued under the Separate Trading of Registered Interest and Principal of Securities (STRIPS) and all U.S. Government Agency and Corporation bonds, notes, debentures and loans not reportable in item 0602. Includes among others, debt securities (but not certificates of participation in pools of residential mortgages) of: (1) Banks For Cooperatives; (2) Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im Bank); (3) Federal Farm Credit Banks; (4) Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLBs); (5) Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC or FREDDIE MAC); (6) Federal Housing Authority (FHA); (7) Federal Intermediate Credit Banks (FICBs); (8) Federal Land Banks (FLBs); (9) Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA or FANNIE MAE); (10) Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA or GINNIE MAE); (11) Maritime Administration; (12) Small Business Administration (SBA); (13) Student Loan Marketing Association (SLMA or SALLIE MAE); (14) Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA); and (15) U.S. Postal Service. Also includes participation certificates issued by the Export-Import Bank and the General Services Administration, bonds issued by the Federal National Mortgage Association and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation that are collateralized by residential mortgages, and notes insured by the Farmers Home Administration (FMHA) and instruments (certificates of beneficial ownership and insured note insurance contracts) representing an interest in FMHA insured notes. Such notes and instruments are backed by loans made, serviced, and collected by the Farmers Home Administration. All these notes were issued prior to January 1, 1975.

Excludes from all other U.S. Government securities: (1) all holdings of U.S. Government-issued or -guaranteed certificates of participation in pools of residential mortgages; (2) loans to farmers guaranteed by the Farmers Home Administration or by the Small Business Administration that are extended, serviced, and collected by any party other than FMHA or SBA; (3) loans to business enterprises guaranteed by the Small Business Administration; (4) securities of international agencies such as the International Bank For Reconstruction and Development (WORLD Bank), Inter- American Development Bank, and Asian Development Bank; (5) capital stock of the Federal National Mortgage Association and the Student Loan Marketing Association; (6) participation certificates issued by a Federal Intermediate Credit Bank; and (7) detached treasury security coupons and ex-coupon treasury securities held as the result of either their purchase or the bank's stripping of such securities and treasury receipts such as CATS, TIGRS, COUGARS, LIONS, and ETRS included in "All Other Securities (Debt and Equity) (0431)". Also excludes loans to the Export-Import Bank and to federally-sponsored lending agencies.
