Data Description:


Includes all valuation allowances established due to declines in NRV after transfer to repossessed assets. Valuation allowances established prior to transfer of the property to repossessed assets must be included in the calculation of the write-down to fair value and cannot be transferred to repossessed assets.

Excludes:

1. Write-downs to mark foreclosed property to fair value; these must directly reduce the asset balance.

2. Write-downs to mark to fair value property acquired through in-substance foreclosures or deed in lieu   of foreclosure; these must directly reduce the asset balance.

3. Additional write-downs at foreclosure to mark to fair value property previously reported as REO due to   an in-substance foreclosure; these must directly reduce the asset balance; or

4. Valuation allowances established prior to transfer to REO.
