Data Description:
Includes holdings of paid in stock of the Federal Reserve Bank, stock acquired for debts previously contracted, marketable equity securities, and foreign stock (and other types of equity ownership) held for investment purposes. Minority interest not meeting the definition of "associated company" is also included.
Excludes the amount of stock of a minority owned corporation that indirectly represents bank premises or furniture and fixtures which is included in "Bank Premises, Furniture and Fixtures, and Other Assets Representing Bank Premises (2145)".
Also excludes holdings of capital stock and investments in unconsolidated subsidiaries and associated companies, which are reported in "Investments in Unconsolidated Subsidiaries and Associated Companies (2130)".
