Data Description:
Includes all loans, discounts, and overdrafts to nonaffiliated commercial banks domiciled in the United States, Puerto Rico, and U.S. territories and possessions maturing in one day and settled in immediately available funds. Also includes loans sold under repurchase agreements, paper discounted with any other bank or organization, and paper pledged as collateral to secure bills payable, as marginal collateral to secure bills rediscounted or for any other purpose. Loans made in cooperation with any other organization(s) (so-called "participation loans") should be classified on the same basis as a loan initiated by the reporting organization.
