Data Description:
Includes loans to foreign branches of other U.S. banks and loans to "shell" branches such as those in the Bahamas and Cayman islands. Excludes loans to foreign banking subsidiaries of other U.S. banks, which are reported in "Loans to Other Banks in Foreign Countries (1516)". Also excludes dollar exchange acceptances created by other banks or by foreign governments and official institutions (included in item 1755 or in item 2081 as appropriate) and loans to foreign governments and official institutions, including foreign central banks (included in item 2081).
NOTE:
Reported only by banks with foreign offices.
For the FFIEC 002 report, excludes all transactions with related depository institutions.
