Data Description:
Includes all loans to brokers and dealers in securities, whether foreign or domestic (except loans secured primarily by real estate). For the purposes of Regulations T and U, all loans to brokers and dealers in securities are considered as loans for purchasing or carrying securities. Excludes loans to banks in foreign countries that act as brokers and dealers (reported in "Loans to Other Banks in Foreign Countries (1516)"). COMPARABILITY: Prior to 7/2/69, W416 series includes "Federal Funds Sold and Securities Purchased Under Agreements to Resell (1350)." Prior to 6/30/67, RCON series includes securities purchased under agreements to resell. Prior to 12/31/65, RCON series includes a small portion of federal funds sold.
