"Commercial and Industrial Loans (1600)" and "Acceptances of Other Banks (1755)" sold outright to, and still held by nonbank affiliates of the reporting bank. Sold outright - Sold without any recourse or agreement to repurchase and removed from the balance sheet of the reporting bank. Still held by - Still outstanding in the sense of not yet having been retired through maturity or prepayment and still included on the balance sheet of either the institution to whom sold or any of the institutions related to the reporting bank. Nonbank Affiliates of the Reporting Bank - Any corporation, business trust, association, or similar organization domiciled either in the U.S. or outside the U.S. except the reporting bank's holding company and other companies engaged in commercial banking in the U.S. (a) where the reporting bank owns or controls, directly or indirectly, either a majority of the voting shares or more than 50 percent of the number of shares voted for the election of directors; or (b) where control of such an organization is held by shareholders also controlling a majority of the voting shares of the reporting bank; or (c) where a majority of the directors of such an organization are also directors of the reporting bank.
