Data Description:

Includes total of "Loans to Foreign Governments and Official Institutions, Central Banks, and International Institutions (2100)" and "All Other Loans (Including Single-Payment Loans) (2110)" as defined below. COMPARABILITY: Prior to 7/6/66, includes consumer installment loans and Export-Import Bank certificates. Prior to 6/15/66, "Deposits Accumulated for Payment of Personal Loans (2400)" not netted. Prior to 4/26/61: (1) excludes loans to central banks, foreign governments and foreign official institutions. At that time, these loans were included in "Loans to Foreign Banks (1510)"; (2) includes loans to nonbank financial institutions.
