Data Description:
Includes the total of deposits and credit balances of the branch or agency's International Banking Facility, regardless of whether they are transaction or nontransaction accounts. IBF deposits liabilities includes: deposits; placements; borrowings and similar obligations represented by promissory notes; acknowledgments of advance; or similar instruments that are not issued in negotiable or bearer form and that are issued to other IBFs or to nonrelated non-U.S. addressees, including banks. Excludes federal funds purchased and securities sold under agreements to repurchase. Also excludes all liabilities to related depository institutions but includes all liabilities to related nondepository institutions.
COMPARABILITY:
Prior to 12/31/85, includes the sum of "Total Demand Deposits (2210)", "Total Savings Deposits (2370)", "Total Time Deposits (2514)" and "Total Credit Balances (2552)".
