Excludes deposits of U.S. branches and agencies of foreign official banking institutions, nationalized banks and other banking institutions that are owned by foreign governments and that do not function as central banks, banks of issue, or development banks, foreign government owned nonbank commercial and industrial enterprises.
COMPARABILITY:
Beginning 3/31/01 exclude from this item deposits of:
(1) U.S. branches and agencies of foreign official banking institutions (report in Schedule RC-E, item 4).
(2) Nationalized banks and other banking institutions that are owned by foreign governments and that do not function as central banks, banks of issue, or development banks (report in Schedule RC-E, item 5).
(3) Foreign government-owned nonbank commercial and industrial enterprises (report in Schedule RC-E, item 1.
