Data Description:


The total amount of money borrowed using: promissory notes; rediscounted notes and bills; loans sold under repurchase agreements and sales of participations in pools of loans that mature in more than one business day; Federal Reserve Banks and Federal Home Loan Banks; overdrafts on "due from" balances; federal funds purchased and securities sold under repurchase agreements by foreign offices of the bank holding company or Edge and Agreement subsidiaries that are not legally defined as deposits; purchases of "term federal funds"; sales of assets that are not owned by the reporting organization and any other obligation with a remaining maturity (see item 2332) of more than one year. Also includes the amount of any borrowings by an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) that the consolidated bank holding company or reporting bank reports as "Other borrowed money."

Excludes: federal funds purchased and securities sold under agreements to repurchase; liabilities resulting from the sales of assets that the reporting entity does not own (short sales) (reported in item 3548, in Schedule HC, for the FR Y-9C report and in Schedule RC, for the FFIEC 031 report); and subordinated notes and debentures.

NOTE:
