COMPARABILITY:
Beginning 12/31/73, national banks includes deposits of U.S. postmasters of government funds which have come into their possession by virtue of their official positions. These were included in "Time and Savings Deposits of U.S. Government (2520)".
Prior to 4/12/61: (1) excludes "Time Deposits of Mutual Savings Banks (2410)"; (2) includes a small portion of "Time and Savings Deposits of Foreign Governments and Official Institutions, Central Banks, and International Institutions (2540)."
