Data Description:

Nontransaction accounts consist of: (1)   Time certificates of deposits evidenced by an instrument providing on its face that the amount of such deposit is payable on a certain date not less than seven days after date of deposit, at expiration of a specified period not less than seven days after the date of instrument, or upon written notice to be given not less than seven days before date of payment; (2)   Time deposits, open account, being deposits other than time certificates of deposit, with respect to which there is in force a written contract with the depositor that neither the whole nor any part of such deposit may be withdrawn prior to date of maturity, which shall not be less than seven days after date of deposit, or prior to expiration of the period of notice which must be given by the depositor, in writing, not less than seven days in advance of withdrawals, including deposits such as christmas club accounts and vacation club accounts, which are made under written contracts providing that no withdrawal shall be made until a certain number of periodic deposits have been made during a period of not less than three months, even though some of the deposits are made within seven days from the end of such period; (3)   Deposits accumulated for payment of personal loans; (5)   Money Market Deposit Accounts (MMDA's). NOTE: For the FFIEC 002 report, excludes all transactions with related depository institutions. COMPARABILITY: Beginning 10/02/96, reported on the FR 2416 (WRBK) and FR 2069 (WALB) reports. Prior to 3/31/84, excludes Money Market Deposit Accounts (MMDA's). (4)   Savings deposits subject to telephone and preauthorized transfers where the depositor is not permitted or authorized to make more than three withdrawals per month for purposes of transferring funds to another account or for making a payment to a third party by means of preauthorized or telephone agreement, order, or instruction, savings deposits subject to no more than three transfers per month for purposes of covering overdrafts (i.e., overdraft protection plan accounts), and all other savings deposits that are not classified as transaction accounts (e.g., regular savings and passbook savings accounts); and
