Data Description:
Includes the disbursed portion of open-end consumer credit, including both unsecured credit and non-real-estate secured credit.
Also includes:
1. Credit extended in connection with credit cards;
2. Overdrafts of consumer NOW and demand accounts; do not net against deposits in item 2339; and
3. All other consumer open-end credit not reported elsewhere.
Excludes:
1. Unsecured credit extended for commercial purposes; reported in item 1569; or
2. Unused portion of credit extended to individuals; report only the disbursed portion.
3. Credit cards secured by 1-4 dwelling units; reported item no. 2705.
NOTE:
Beginning 3/31/04, reported on Schedule SC for the SVGL report.
COMPARABILITY:
Beginning 3/31/04,report the disbursed portion of open-end consumer credit cards.
Excludes:
1. Credit extended under credit card plans to business enterprises; report as commercial loans on item no. 1569;
2. Credit extended to individuals through credit cards secured by real estate; report as mortgage loans; and
3. Credit extended to individuals under prearranged overdraft plans; reported on item no. 0455.
Beginning 3/31/1999, definition revised to clarify that credit cards secured by single family properties should not be reported with credit cards, but reported with home equity loan.
