Data Description:
Includes loans to finance commercial and residential real estate activities, e.g., acquiring, developing and renovating commercial and residential real estate, that are reported in items 1766, 1563 for (FR Y-9C), in items 1766, 1563 for (FFIEC 031), in items 1766, 1564 for (FFIEC 032 and 033), and in items 1766, 2080 for (FFIEC 034).
Such loans generally includes: (1) loans made for the express purpose of financing real estate ventures as evidenced by loan documentation or other circumstances connected with the loan; or (2) loans made to organizations or individuals 80 percent of whose revenue or assets are derived from or consist of real estate ventures or holdings.
Excludes all loans secured by real estate that are reported in items 1415, 1420, 1797, 1798, 1460 and 1480. Also excludes loans to commercial and industrial firms where the sole purpose for the loan is to construct a factory or office building to house the company's operations or employees.
