Data Description:
Federal funds purchased and securities sold under repurchase agreements with: (1) U.S. Government agencies and corporations--Includes all departments, bureau, agencies, or government-owned corporation, except the Export-Import Bank and federally-sponsored lending agencies (reported in item 2819); (2) Banks in foreign countries--Includes commercial banks, savings banks, discount houses, and other depository institutions domiciled outside the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. dependencies and insular possessions; (3) Foreign official institutions--Includes central, state, provincial, and local government in foreign countries, and their ministries, departments, and agencies. Among these are central banks, foreign development banks, treasuries, exchange control offices, and stabilization funds. Also includes such international institutions as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Bank for International Settlements, and the Inter-American Development Bank.
