Data Description:

The amount of unmatured drafts and bills of exchange accepted by reporting bank (other than those reported in "certified and officers' checks"), less amount of such acceptances acquired by reporting bank through discount or purchase and held on Call date. Includes bills of exchange accepted by reporting bank which were drawn by banks or bankers in foreign countries, or in dependencies or insular possessions of the U.S., for the purpose of creating dollar exchange as required by usage of trade in the respective countries, dependencies, or insular possessions.

NOTE:

For FFIEC 002 report in Schedule RAL, amounts reportable in "Customers' Liability To This Branch Or Agency On Acceptances Outstanding (2155(D)), cannot be netted against this item and vice versa. Similarly, participations in acceptances -- regardless of form or terminology -- cannot be netted from this item. Excludes all liabilities to related depository institutions but includes all liabilities to related nondepository institutions.

This variable is used by the FDIC and OCC in the process to generate the UBPR in the Central Data Repository (CDR). The Board does NOT store this MDRM within the UBPR series tables in the Board's Financial Data Repository (FDR).
