Data Description:
The proportionate interest held by those other than reporting bank in the equity capital accounts of majority-owned consolidated subsidiaries. The minority interest owner bears the share of losses only to the extent of its share of net assets. A deficit balance is not reported for this account, unless the minority owner(s) have guaranteed the subsidiary's debt or have provided a commitment to furnish additional capital. Also includes the outstanding amount of instruments generally referred to as trust preferred stock that are issued out of special purpose subsidiaries and are marketed under a variety of names such as MIPS and TOPRS. NOTE: Beginning 3/31/01, series RCFD and RCON, reported in Schedule RC - Balance Sheet for the FFIEC 031 and FFIEC 041 reports. For the FR Y-9C (BHCK) report, the MDRM reflects data starting for the period of June 30, 1981 thru current archival file. Reported in Schedule HC. For the UBPR series, the FDIC's Data Element name is H-OLMINOR For SVHC3000 - The incorrect MDRM (SVHC4484) was assigned for the SVGL series "Minority interest in consolidated subsidiaries and similar items". The correct MDRM, SVHC3000, was assigned to the series and the historic data from 3/31/2004 to 12/31/2008 were moved from SVHC4484 to the correct MDRM SVHC3000. Only SVHC3000 will contain the data for time periods after 12/31/2008. For SVGL3000 - The incorrect MDRM (SVGL0475) was assigned for the SVGL series Minority interest. We have added the correct MDRM, SVGL3000. Historical data from 3/31/2004 to 12/31/2008 were moved from SVGL0475 to the correct MDRM SVGL3000.
