Data Description:
Includes all holdings of acceptances, whether open market purchases of acceptances of other institutions or the reporting institution's own acceptances purchased or discounted. These acceptances owned by the reporting institution, are bills or drafts of exchange that have been accepted by the reporting institution or by others for its account, are liabilities of the reporting institution's customer and are outstanding on report date.
COMPARABILITY:
Prior to 12/31/85, includes holdings of acceptances included in "Commercial and Industrial Loans (1600)".
NOTE:
For the FFIEC 002 report, excludes all transactions with related depository institutions.
