Includes in Column A the amount, if any, by which the aggregate cost of the marketable equity securities portfolio (sum of items 3637 and 3639, Column A) exceeds its aggregate market value (sum of items 3638 and 3640, Column B) as of the report date. (On the FFIEC 031, reported in Column C is the amount, if any, by which the aggregate cost of marketable equity securities held in domestic offices exceeds the aggregate market value of such securities as of the report date.) The amount of the net unrealized loss to be reported in this item, if any, is not reduced by a tax effect. The amount reported in this item normally equals the amount reported in item 0297.
