Includes the book value of all fixed rate mortgage-backed pass-through certificates with original maturities of one year or less (including assets with immediately adjustable interest rates). Such certificates are issued by the Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA), the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC), and certain banks and savings and loan associations, on basis of the time remaining until their final contractual maturity. Also includes any adjustable rate mortgaged-backed pass-through certificates on the basis of the earliest possible repricing opportunity. Excludes all trading account assets and equity securities.
