Data Description:
Includes the outstanding principal balances of all commercial loans and financing leases. Includes:
1. All loans on commercial properties that have a security interest but not qualifying as a mortgage loan;
2. All loans (secured and unsecured) for farming operations;
3. Floor-planning (wholesale) loans to dealers to finance inventory for automobiles or mobile homes;
4. Retail loans on cars or trucks intended primarily for commercial, rather than personal use;
5. Loans not secured by a mortgage or collateralized by mortgage loans that are insured or guaranteed by an agency of the federal government or a state or municipal government authority (including, among others, Farmers Home Administration loans, AID loans, the insured portion of SBA loans, etc.);
6. Secured loans to service corporation/subsidiaries that are not secured by real estate or collateralized by mortgage loans;
7. Unsecured construction loans to builders for construction of new residential property;
8. Unsecured loans for the improvement of multifamily and other commercial property;
9. The total outstanding balance of commercial lines of credit (secured and unsecured);
10. Overdrafts on commercial demand deposits; and
11. All financing leases (leveraged leases) for commercial purposes.
