Data Description:
In reporting this item the obligations of the reporting organization to buy against the organization's obligations to sell, or written options against purchased options are not netted. Includes the gross amount of foreign currency that the reporting organization has, for compensation, obligated itself to either purchase or sell under option contracts that are outstanding as of the report date. In the case of option contracts obligating the reporting bank to either purchase or sell a futures contract, the gross amount of the foreign (non-U.S.) currency underlying the futures contract is reported.
Also includes the gross amount of foreign currency that the reporting organization has, for a fee, purchased the right to either purchase or sell under option contracts that are outstanding as of the report date. In the case of option contracts giving the reporting organization the right to either purchase or sell a currency futures contract, the gross amount of the foreign (non-U.S.) currency underlying the futures contract is reported.
