Data Description:

The stated interest rate per annum on deposits issued or renewed during the 7 days ending on the survey date (that is, the period from Thursday through Wednesday) on "All Interest-Bearing Time Certificates and Open Account Time Deposits With Balances of Less Than $100,000 and With Original Maturities of 183 Days Thru 1 Year (6780)". If the nominal rate is reported in this item, the appropriate compounding period is reported in item 6889. If the effective annual yield is reported, then code 8 is reported in item 6889. Interest rates are reported to the nearest one-hundredth of a percentage point. Also includes any brokered time deposit in denominations greater than $100,000 that are participated out by the broker in shares of $100,000 or less.

Excludes all time deposits with balances of $100,000 or more, including those time deposits originally issued in denominations of less than $100,000 but that, because of interest paid or credited, or because of additional deposits, now have a balance of $100,000 or more.
