Data Description:
The prime rate charged by a respondent bank. The prime rate, sometimes referred to as a "base" or "reference" rate, is the administered rate used for pricing business credit which the bank adjusts and announces from time to time as response to changes in market conditions. The rate is reported to three decimal places. For example, a rate of 8-1/2 percent is reported as 8.500. NOTE: Reported on the FR 2028S report.
