Data Description:

The numeric code assigned to the country, dependency or area of special sovereignty in which the entity is physically located. Source: Geographical Classification, the Department of the Treasury. Refer to Appendix B of the RSSD Data Dictionary for a list of these codes. Note: The current version of the Department of Treasury's Geographical Classification, countries of the United Kingdom, including England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Hebrides, Isle of Man, Orkney, and Shetland Islands, are included under the country code of the United Kingdom. However, at the request of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, separate codes were assigned to England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Channel Islands. Also, the Treasury has given the Federal Reserve System separate codes for the United States, American Samoa, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, U.S. Minor Outlying Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Federated States of Micronesia. These codes and the five codes discussed above are not included on the TIC forms. 0 = Not applicable (individuals and pseudo entities) NOTE: Reported on the DB2 CEXC01 and CEXI01 Tables. Note that the current version of the Department of Treasury's Geographical Classification, countries of the United Kingdom, including England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Hebrides, Isle of Man, Orkney, and Shetland Islands, are included under the country code of the United Kingdom (13005). However, at the request of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, separate codes were assigned to England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Channel Islands. SATR -- The country in which the parent of this institution is located. (A country code is assigned by U.S. Treasury to each country and is used to store country data in NIC.) In cases where multiple tiers exist in the organization, the "parent" institution would be the bank, bank holding company, or foreign banking organization (FBO) that is the head office of this institution, or first organization of this type which is found when tiering up from this institution. Although derived from RSSD data at NED implementation, this information must be verified and maintained in NED by Reserve Banks from that point forward. CLCO - The Country in which the obligor is headquartered. See Additional Instructions for ISO standard codes.
