A derived count of U.S. banking subsidiaries that are in the organizational structure of a bank holding company during the date range of the Attributes row. The bank holding company is defined as BHC_IND = 1 in the Attributes table, the banking subsidiary is defined as BROAD_REG_CD = 1 in the Attributes table, and all the relationships between the bank holding company and the banking subsidiary are controlled, defined as CTRL_IND = 1 in the Relationships table.
