Data Description:

Includes bulk purchases, net of sales, of deposits purchased during the quarter. This amount is not included in item 0938. Also includes bulk purchases and sales; branch office purchases and sales; and deposits from mergers with depository institutions not previously reporting to the OTS. If sales exceed purchases, report the amount as a negative.

COMPARABILITY:

Prior to 3/31/1998, item name excluded "Conversions".

Beginning 9/30/1997, reported that institutions converting from a non-OTS to an OTS-regulated charter should report all of their deposits on this line as of the date of conversion.
