Data Description:
Reported is the portion of the reporting bank's qualifying other limited-life capital instruments, such as long-term preferred stock with an original maturity of 20 years or more, that is includible in Tier 2 capital.
Qualifying other limited-life capital instruments is the amount that remains after discounting any instruments with five years or less until maturity. The entire amount of this qualifying amount is the portion that is includible in Tier 2 capital. (See the March 31, 1997 Call Sample Booklet for the calculation of this portion.)
