MSA INDICATOR USED TO ESTABLISH UBPR ASSET PEER GROUPS. VALID VALUES ARE 1 IF THE INSTITUTION LOCN_MSA_NUM IS GREATER THAN ZERO AND 2 IF THE LOCN_MSA_NUM IS EQUAL TO ZERO. UBPR Description: LOCN_MSA_UBPR_IND is calculated using SIM.TINST_FIN_SDC element DMG_AREA_TYP_CDE and DMG_MSA_ID. Valid values are: 1,2 (NOTE: Per Marian Penn on 7/24/07 @7:22am NULL or MISSING is not allowed) FDIC Usage : Displayed on website and used in Peer Group calculations

This variable is used by the FDIC and OCC in the process to generate the UBPR in the Central Data Repository (CDR). The Board does NOT store this MDRM within the UBPR series tables in the Board's Financial Data Repository (FDR).
