Note: Demand deposit accounts data has been received in the debits system representing values in excess of one trillion dollars. The data is received in thousands of dollars and requires 10 digits to hold one trillion dollars. To handle the trillion dollars, the following modifications has been made: trillion dollar data will be received at the Board and handled by Data Services with all 10 digits in tack. The M&M edit/update program will truncate the least significant digit and round up if greater than 5. Nine digits will be stored on the M&M data base and printed on the edit report listing. If revisions are required they are to be made using all 10 digits. At archival creation time, the 9 digit data will be multiplied by 10 so 10 digits will appear on the archival file. This modification includes the December 1982 through April 1983 demand deposit account data. Also the M&M edit and archival programs has been modified to process the trillion dollars.
